On the week between December 2nd and December 6th, of the year two thousand and nineteen, all the partners participating in Erasmus + “ Let me tell you a story” reunited in Mehmet Akif Ersoy  Primary School, Efeler, Turkey, to participate in the first LTT of the project.

During the time of the established programme, partners and students had the chance to be part of several cultural initiatives and participate in the school activities.   They also discussed and defined project guidelines, exchanged practises, shared experiences and learned about the Turkish context.

On the first day, all partners were welcome in the school, by the Turkish partner, with an opening ceremony where the Turkish students performed songs, role-plays, traditional dances. After this all partners visited the school facilities and some of the classrooms. It followed an ice breaking activity “Bursting Balloons” with teachers and students in the school yard. After that, each partner did a presentation of their educational system. The Croatian and Slovenian students participated in this meeting and presented their own educational systems by themselves.  In the afternoon, the group visited the Provincial Doctorate of National Education for a brief meeting with the responsible of education of Efeler district.

During the week of the programme students were involved in school activities, such as, fabric painting, creating stories and arts & craft activities related with the project. They were welcomed in Turkish families. The partners had meetings, to decide and be aware of each country project duties. It was also decided the dates of the next LTT and preparations were made to the second LTT in Germany. The meetings ended with the Turkey LTT evaluation. All partners agreed that this event was a success, an example to be followed and were very grateful for generosity and great hospitability of the Turkish Partners.

Finally, there was a closing ceremony in Hotel Efeler, where the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Primary School headmaster delivered the first mobility certificates to the teachers and the students of each country.
