Sixth LTT in United Kingdom
Solihull
20.6.2022. - 24.6.2022.

In the week between 20 and 27 June 2022, several partners participating in Erasmus + “Let me tell you a story” were present in the United Kingdom, more specifically in the city of Birmingham. For reasons of internal mobility, the delegation from Portugal (Madeira) only arrived on the day of the welcome ceremony, thus not having the opportunity to be present.

The Portuguese delegation was installed in an aparthotel (located at Wyche Avenue, king's heath, Birmingham), given that it consisted of three adults and six children, aged between 9 and 10 years old.

Therefore, after not having had the opportunity to be present on the first day (for the reasons presented above), the next day (June 21) we were very well received at the host school (Ulverley School), with a brief presentation by the project partners. . Thus, a workshop nº2 alluding to puzzle pieces for its construction was started. After a short break, workshop nº3, “Diary entry writing”, took place. After a brief lunch break, a Tour of Birmingham City center took place - Cathedral Square, Victoria Square, The library of Birmingham, Brindley Place, Gas Street Basin, The Mailbox, Grand Central and The Bullring. After that, return to the aparthotel.

The next day (June 22), we visited Anne Hathaway’s cottage, and after a light lunch, visited William Shakespeare’s birthplace and burial site. After some free time, we return to the hotel.

On the 23rd, Thursday, we returned to the school that welcomed us, Ulverley school, where the participating students held workshop nº4, “Script Writing and play performance practise, children final practice and play performances. After lunch, a “Fancy Dress party” was held, providing good times.

Finally, on Friday (June 24th) and the last day of mobility, the number 5 workshop was held, called “Fabric painting”, Assessment of mobility and delivery of certificates of participation.

These learning experiences acquired during the stay abroad were indeed beneficial for future professional work as a teacher.

The Erasmus+ program represents one of the most tangible European achievements in
